Meet Jerry Ford Sr.

Candidate for Congress -  Texas 18th Congressional District

Jerry Ford Sr. for Congress

Jerry Ford Sr. is a former Assistant Fire Chief with the Houston Fire Department and owner of several small businesses. Jerry has lived in the 18th Congressional District for over three decades. Born in Memphis, Tennessee, Jerry attended and graduated from West Texas A&M University.

Jerry Ford has worked all over the 18th district as a Firefighter, Business Owner, and Community volunteer his entire adult life.

As a firefighter for over 25 years, Ford has spent his life rescuing people from building fires, car accidents, hurricanes, floods, and yes, delivering babies.

As a business owner, Ford started Klean King Janitorial Services in 1995, where he grew the business employing over 50 employees. From there, Ford saved every penny earned until he was able to buy a restaurant where it started as a family business and grew to support and employ many in the community.

After retiring from the fire Department in 2017, Ford decided to continue to serve his community by opening an Allstate Insurance Agency, where he employed over 25 people in the first year of business. Jerry Ford's Agency is recognized as one of the top 10% of agencies in the country.

Jerry Ford has gone through the red tape that hinders the average person from opening businesses.

I understand what it takes to open Small Businesses and the red tape that hinders the average person from getting started.

  • People from all over the world flock to the 18th District to set up businesses to take the wealth out of the community, price gouging, providing subpar produce and not hire people in the community and not giving back to the communities.
  • I will fight for Government-backed community banking to help develop entrepreneurs who live in the district, which in turn will hire people in the community and circulate our wealth within the 18th District.
  • The people who live in the 18th District should have the support to get Small Business Loans to open those businesses in their communities.
  • Jerry Ford has lived in the 18th district his entire adult life and knows the perils that the people face and what it takes to get them where they need to be, to realize and live the American dream.

My community service is second to none:

  • I have volunteered in the 18th District for over 20 years, coaching Little League basketball and baseball.
  • My greatest reward from volunteering, mentoring, and coaching in the 18th district was watching those young boys become young educated, and professional men.
  • For over ten years, my family and I have teamed up with Ford Motor Company to raise thousands of dollars for schools in the 18th district to provide equipment and meals.
  • As a Community Volunteer, Firefighter, and Businessowner, I realized that I had to earn the trust and respect of the people that I served daily. That’s what I intend to do as your Congressman.
